SPAK today called the daughter of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, Argita Malltezi, for an investigation that started after her statements to judge Irena Gjoka, that she received 500 thousand euros from a former socialist exponent.
After leaving the Special Prosecutor's Office, Malltezi said that he referred to the media, but the lawyer Romeo Kara, who was invited to Report TV, says that the Berisha family uses multiple standards that belong to justice.
The lawyer says that in 2014 he also accused Shkëlzen Berisha of being involved in drug trafficking, but referring to the interviews that Izet Haxhia had given in the media.
And for this, Kara says that the Berisha family was imposed on the Court of Tirana to treat this statement as defamation and was convicted.
" The multiple standards that have been planted and used by Malltezi and her own family. I don't know which media was referred to, but I myself in June 2014 quoted what Izet Haxhia, the man who served close to the Berisha family, said in the media written in the newspaper Dita and the YouTube channel, and this quote of mine was treated as defamation and the Tirana court was forced to treat it as defamation. Now the lady in question instructs the prosecution to find where this work is. I also asked for that then.
I have been convicted of defamation in the first degree for quoting what Izet Haxhia said about the heroin trafficking committed by Shkëlzen Berisha. I asked him that question, when he accused Tahir, I told him, do you remember the traffic according to Izeti, I am a slanderer, since in 2014 I had no contact with Izeti. Even the quote is not worthy of us. Karma is karma and it's coming back," he said
According to him, non grata should be prohibited by law to be part of politics.
"A non grata family, what raises the question for me is when will we react as a state so that the non grata by law no longer have a job in politics. The lady is non grata and it is the shame of our university that she teaches and educates, especially in the medical university" , he said.
