Tomi Kallanxhi, an IT expert, spoke about using the Tik Tok application, emphasizing what makes it unique from other platforms.
" Tik Tok is owned by By Dance. It was launched as an app in 2014 and was later merged with an app like Musical.ly that was purchased for around $120,000. ByDance is one of the most technologically advanced companies in the world today ," he said in an interview with Euronews Albania.
Meanwhile, the expert added that it is Artificial Intelligence that is behind what is promoted on TikTok.
"What makes it different from other platforms is the Artificial Intelligence algorithm it uses to select content based on user behavior and predict what the user will like in the next video."
Even in the US, what worries them the most is how a Chinese company operates since the latter has the Chinese People's Party as its board of directors, which means that Americans' data is not safe since there are over 170 million American users on Tik Tok ," said Tomi Kallanxhi.
