Asphyxiated by smoke in the shopping center in Lushnja, 20 citizens were hospitalized

The "Metropol" shopping center was engulfed in flames on Monday afternoon in Lushnje, trapping dozens of people inside.

At least, 20 citizens were suffocated by the flames that engulfed the shopping center and were hospitalized in Fier to receive medical help.

It is learned that their condition is stable, but they remain under the care of doctors.

Ambulance and police are at the scene and are investigating the circumstances of the incident. It is suspected that the cause of the fire was an electrical spark.
