Other details have come out about the serious event that happened a few days ago in Korça, where 45-year-old Bledar Trëndafili set fire to his wife, 31-year-old Melisa Trëndafili, with whom they were in the process of divorce.
In an exclusive interview for Euronews Albania, Ana, Melissa's mother, explained the origin of the event and the condition in which her daughter is currently in the hospital.

"That day I went to my brother in the village, to my family and I took Melissa's children with me. Melisa was getting her leave on the 1st and we were going to take the children for a 4-day vacation.
At some point, he called Melissa and told her where the children are, to go meet them and give them fish. This told him that the mother has taken the children with her and is in the village. It doesn't take long and he comes to the village to my family. He did not accept divorce in any way. He told me that I can't think that she has a relationship with someone else.
He does not speak, at a moment when he falls asleep he starts and tells me 'he came, he came, he is here...'. Because it's not good. I ask the state to take care of those children. Are you looking for a policeman at the gate to protect me?", Ana, Melisa's mother, said, among other things.
