The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has officially reacted to the suspension of the exercise of duty for the President of the Order of Dentists, Nikollë Deda, who is accused of numerous financial abuses.
It is reported that he is accused of numerous financial abuses. A report was filed against Deda by citizen Almiro Gurakuqi in January of this year for financial abuse and manipulation of decision-making in the National Council of the institution since 2016.
"The complainant stated that even though by the decision of the Administrative Court on 07.02.2020 it was decided to secure the lawsuit for decisions No. 16 and 18, dated 07.11.2019, the citizen Nikolla Deda, in the capacity of the President of the Order of Dentists, continued to illegally with the meeting of the National Council and the Assembly, where he made dubious decisions of a financial nature, as well as employed the family members of the members of the National Council and his own family", says the announcement of the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana .
According to citizen Gurakuqi, "on 21.09.2020 it was decided to purchase a building, in accordance with the Order of the Dentist, with an area of 350 m2, in the value of 700,000 euros. As long as there is a 2020 lawsuit insurance decision, the US National Council should not make such decisions with such a high economic impact.
Also, the National Council has approved taking a loan from a bank in the amount of 250,000 euros for the purpose of "purchasing premises", for which the decision was taken by President Nikoll Deda. From the investigations, it turned out that with his actions/inactions, the ND citizen has created a "climate of private possession" by concentrating in his hands the functions of the regional councils, either in terms of administering the budget of the dentist's order at the district level, or in terms of pertains to the licensed equipment of dentists for individual practice of the profession".
It is further emphasized that "Furthermore, the employment of the fiancees of his sons in the Order of Dentists, or the children of members of the National Council are simply indicators of the personalization of the "Order of Dentists" by the ND citizen, creating a climate of private ownership of this public entity".
