The Strasbourg Court has given its verdict on the death of Alex Nika, one of the 4 protesters who were killed on January 21, 2011, in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
According to the Court's decision, there are two violations in this case, which are murder and failure to disclose the incident.
Journalist Fatos Mahmutaj, also a witness to the event of January 21, said in an interview for Euronea Albania that there are dozens of evidences that prove that January 21 was a state crime in which all institutions were involved, from the police to the prosecutor's office and the court.
" One of the people, I don't want to say his name, came to SPAK to take his testimony and they told him that they will take it at a later time. It was targeted to kill him and to trap Edi Rama. It wasn't protesting, it was something else entirely.
In that unfortunate protest, I was neither with the protesters nor with the police, I was doing my job, and the other one was not a journalist, but a well-known person who worked nearby. Berisha had pushed him away from himself and tried to kill him, but life does not become short-lived, so he failed to kill him ", he said.
