The former prison director of Fushë Kruja, Durim Toska, was arrested in Pogradec, just 1 hour after his dismissal.

In a press release, the Ministry of Justice says "Minister Ulsi Manja has taken this step, following the proposal of the General Director of Prisons, basing the decision on ethical and legal criteria violated by Durim Toska".

The decision, the announcement states, is in line with the objectives of the Ministry of Justice and the General Directorate of Prisons for improving efficiency and integrity in the justice system.

It is expected that in the future more details will be learned regarding the arrest of Durim Toska and his dismissal.

Instead of Toska, Erion Laskaj has been appointed to the post of director of Fushë Kruja prison.
