Yesterday, after a long meeting held by the Extraordinary Assembly of the Order of Psychologists, it was decided to dismiss the president of the Order of Psychologists, Valbona Treska, after numerous accusations of abuse of office.
But the latter, in an interview for "Euronews Albania", stated that she does not know yesterday's assembly, adding that it was illegal.
According to her, the Assembly took place without waiting for the verification of the signatures of the psychologists who asked to call the Extraordinary Assembly.
Treska added that this meeting cannot be called an Assembly, with the argument that the legal conditions for calling it have not been respected.
" An assembly meeting to be held has a legislative basis in which it must be held. A few days ago, we received a notification by the order of the psychologist, in an unofficial form, that signatures of psychologists have been gathered, to make 1/3 of the psychologists to call the extraordinary assembly. These signatures and this request have not yet been deposited, the president of the order, after consultation with the National Council, issued a statement in which he said that even though no signatures have been deposited, and there is no official announcement about this, we are ready to make a meeting with the psychologists.
The signatures were deposited on Thursday, on Friday the National Council of the Order of Psychologists met and we decided to verify the signatures, whether the psychologist who signed is a member or not. Tomorrow, which is Monday, the verification of signatures begins. I don't understand all this incentive to do it as soon as possible, while it was time to do it properly and within all the rules , "said Treska.
