Journalist and publisher of the 'Pamphlet' portal, Gjergj Zefi was assaulted yesterday with hard objects in Tirana as soon as he left the office. The Union of Albanian Journalists reacted to this act of banditry.
Through a post on social networks, UGSH calls on the authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice.
" The Union of Albanian Journalists strongly condemns the violence against the journalist Gjergj Zefi, on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 3, 2023, in one of the streets of Tirana. Physical blows with strong tools on the journalist, his injuries, constitute a serious act. UGSH calls on the state authorities to immediately find the author and bring him to justice.
Physical violence against journalists is an unacceptable act in a normal society. The Union of Albanian Journalists asks the country's institutions and authorities to prevent and not support the climate of threats to reporters and media editors.

Meanwhile, the police have identified the owner of the perpetrators' car, and it is the citizen Renato Bodurri from Elbasani.
