Who's next?/ SPAK prosecutors meet with DEA and FBI officials
Details have emerged from the visit to the US of SPAK head Klodjan Braho and two prosecutors accompanying him.
At the beginning of last week, Braho and the two heads of the sections investigating corruption and organized crime, Dorina Bejko and Vladimir Mara, left for Washington, where they met with high-level officials.
SPAK itself reports that they were received at the Department of Justice, where they met with the Deputy Assistant Attorney General, as well as representatives of the DEA, FBI, ICITAP and OPDAT.
History has shown that whenever SPAK leaders go to the US, they return with clear messages. Sali Berisha was indicted immediately after a visit to the US by the SPAK leader. The same thing happened later with Erion Veliaj and Ilir Meta. So the question that arises is: Who will have the turn now?
The fact that Braho has brought with him both the head of the corruption section and the head of the organized crime section makes one suspect that we may have a crackdown on both those in power and on gangs.
Since Klodjan Braho's appointment as head of SPAK, there have been no sensational operations, either against crime or corruption. This is his first visit to the US as head of SPAK and the signals are that in the coming days we may have developments.
Rama in Athens today / Mitsotakis does not find time for an official meeting with the Albanian Prime Minister
The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, is scheduled to visit Greece today.
According to “To Vima”, he will attend the Delphi Economic Forum, while he has numerous diplomatic contacts on the possibility of a meeting in Athens with the Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
According to reports, the two sides have been in constant communication over the past 24 hours to determine whether Mitsotakis’ agenda can find a place for an official meeting, as requested by Tirana.
Rama is scheduled to deliver a speech at the Delphi Economic Forum on Wednesday afternoon.
Given that the two leaders will speak at the forum, which will be held at the site of the same name in Delphi, in south-central Greece, within about half an hour of each other, it is seen as the most likely venue for a face-to-face meeting.
Other possible time frames are Tuesday in Athens, after Rama's arrival, or Thursday before his departure, as Mitsotakis will attend an informal EU summit in Nicosia later that day.

Gjithashtu në Gjader po mbahet një i vetëshpallur shtetas i Bangladeshit i arrestuar në flagrancë në vitin 2023 për kryerjen e akteve seksuale para një fëmije në tren, dhe një i vetëshpallur shtetas maroken me precedent penal për, ndër të tjera, sulme seksuale, kërcënime dhe rezistencë ndaj një zyrtari publik, si dhe dëmtim të pronës.

The Albanian government aims to include around 20% of the road network in electronic tolling schemes by 2030, as part of the measures in the transport sector strategy and action plan until 2030.
The document focuses, among other things, on the expansion of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) across the entire TEN-T network, including real-time traffic management, asset monitoring and the provision of information to passengers. An important component of this is the development of digital ticketing in intercity transport and sustainable electronic tolling systems (e-tolling).
In this context, the strategy foresees the preparation of the legal and technical framework for digital road charging, in line with European standards such as the Eurovignette Directive and the European Electronic Toll Service (EETS). The piloting of e-tolling will start in the highest traffic segments of the TEN-T network, after the establishment of the relevant infrastructure.
The government plans to create a special fund coming from electric payments and charging that will go towards road maintenance.
