Security company employee who dragged protester to jail
The Vlora Court has imposed the security measure "prison arrest" on Gerald Biba, who is being investigated for raping a participant in the protest held a few days ago in the Zvërnec area.
The decision was made after reviewing the evidence collected by the investigative bodies and presenting the parties' positions at the hearing. As a result, Biba will remain in custody until further developments in the process.
The incident occurred during an organized protest against the project being implemented in Zvërnec. During the rally, clashes were noted between protesters and people involved in maintaining the security of the area.
Images of the conflict circulated widely on social networks, attracting the attention of public opinion and prompting numerous reactions.
Protests in Zvërnec/ Police revoke licenses of two private security companies
The General Directorate of the State Police, following the violence carried out two days ago in Zvërnec, has announced that the licenses of two private physical security entities have been revoked, specifically ShPSF "Myrto Security 1.3A" and ShPSF "Major Security".
According to the police announcement, both entities were found to be in violation after they had not taken measures for the security of the facility and had not implemented the rules for the entry and exit of authorized persons and vehicles. Also, unidentified and unknown persons were allowed to enter the facility by the service personnel, who hit and forcibly pulled a person participating in the protest and more.

The clashes over Zvërnec have put the Special Prosecution Office and the National Bureau of Investigation into action, while investigations are reported to have been launched in both Vlora and Tirana, regarding allegations of property alienation in that area.
As of this morning, BKH agents are conducting searches and seizing documents, which could serve the investigation into a suspected scheme of embezzlement and falsification of property documentation in this coastal area.
Journalist Klodiana Lala reported for News24 that among the people being checked is Pëllumb Petriti, a former lawyer, who is suspected of having played a role in falsifying property documents in favor of Artur Shehu. Checks are also being conducted on Redi Struga, an engineer and administrator of the design company “InfraKonsult” sh.pk.
The Struga company has purchased the properties from other owners. Struga serves, through the company "Albanian Land Development", as a bridge connecting with the billionaire brothers Ramez and Mohamad Al-Khayyat from Qatar, who invest alongside Kushner.
The company InfraKonsult sh.pk, managed by Redi Struga, is a design and engineering consultancy company that has been engaged in several infrastructure projects in Albania.
One of its most important projects was the study, design and expansion of the Elbasan–Prrenjas–Qafë Thanë road segment, a contract won at the end of 2020 with a limit fund of 530 million lek and a completion deadline of 9 months.
From Greek media to the protest of 'so-called' Muslims/ Rama reacts to Zvërnec: Trap for the future of Albania
Prime Minister Edi Rama this Monday addressed the SP parliamentary group on the situation in Zvërnec, where residents of the area and representatives of civil society are protesting against the project to build a resort in the area.
Rama began his speech by expressing solidarity with the public's revolt and anger over the scene of a protester being dragged away by private security guards, calling the indifference of the police who were supposed to protect him unjustifiable.
"I understand you very well. I assure you that in your country, I would also revolt and stand against the government. Because it would seem terrible to me that some private security guards, in the eyes of the police of my state, behind a barbed wire fence, howl like animals and take a person from outside in their own right. Drag him along the fenced beach and then the police say that the person dragged entered the private property on his own, while those who dragged the protester should have been arrested on the spot", said Rama.
At the meeting of the SP Group, Rama also rejected the version that the black money of the international mafia will be pastored in Zvërnec.
Rama said that he has never betrayed Albania, referring to the statements that abound on the network that Sazani was sold to the Israelis. Rama also focused on the Greek media's coverage of the protest, asking how Greek newspapers can be allies of Albanians in protecting Albania's environment. He cast doubt on the Greek media that are giving voice to the protests in Zvërnec.
"They are not only Muslims, they do not have Allah and the Quran, because they commit the crime forbidden by the Quran every day, to poison people with slander. How can I be against you and against myself. How can the Greek newspapers be your allies in protecting the environment of Albania. The Greek newspapers that are all filled with your cause today. Is there something wrong here? Or was the traitor found, was the seller of the homeland found, was the corrupt one found and he is your prime minister. Having said this and sorry if I am too direct and perhaps emotional, but this is my feeling, because for me these are surprising days that for the first time have made me think and also to deeply humble myself for the great honor you have done me and to apologize for running away to the village and leaving it in the hands that you will choose yourself to protect Albania from foreigners. But I have chosen to do what I have always done, to lead you towards that Albania that I love as much as you do and I love it as much as you do. "as you want," Rama said.
Protests were held both in Zvërnec, near the project area, but also in the capital (on May 31, while another march has been announced for this Monday, June 1).
The construction of a large tourist complex is planned in the area, with investments worth billions.
In previous reactions, the Prime Minister has emphasized that it is a private property of about 300 hectares, and that the investors have secured the land through agreements with private owners and not from the Albanian state.
