The road segment in the Arrat e Gurrës area, in the village of Dragostunjë in Librazhd, did not open at noon as expected, while the road connecting Tirana with the southeast of the country has been blocked for days due to a collapse on the Librazhd-Prrenjas axis.
The secondary road built to allow temporary passage suffered subsidence and landslides.
The mass of earth that moved damaged the intervention carried out in recent days. Authorities consider this segment, which connects several important areas, impassable for an indefinite period. Due to the risk of further collapses, the company's vehicles that were working on the ground were removed.
The responsible structures also prohibited pedestrian movement on this part of the road.
The situation created in recent hours has alarmed state structures and the Albanian government, while an urgent reassessment of the geological conditions and the intervention plan is expected.
Specialists warn that the terrain in this area remains extremely unstable, which makes any technical intervention difficult and high-risk.
The blockage of this segment continues to create serious problems in the circulation of vehicles and in the connection between areas, increasing the pressure for a long-term and sustainable infrastructure solution.

According to media reports, Prime Minister Edi Rama has planned a visit to the city of Korça, but due to road blockage, he will travel by helicopter.
Korça Police have been notified that the head of government will land by helicopter at 11:00 in Korça, for the inauguration of the Knowledge Pole.
There has been no announcement from the Prime Minister's Office regarding the meeting in question, while the Korça media have reported the news about the visit in question.
Meanwhile, there is still no official reaction from the Prime Minister and the ministries on how this situation will continue, but only blockages and suspensions at the expense of citizens. We should expect much more from those responsible.
