The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has requested "arrest in prison" for 2 employees of Ujësjella-Kanalizime Tirana and an obligation to appear for 2 others under the charge of "theft by abuse of duty".
The prosecution body announces that the investigation began after the audit conducted by the economic office of the company "Ujësjellës-Kanalizime Tirana" sh.a Tirana, it was established that the specialist in the Taxation Sector in the Economic Directorate of this company, charged with the task of compiling and sending to the Bank the payment list for the salaries of the employees of this company with the initials S.Zh. has duplicated the names of citizens S.Zh, RL, EL and A.Xh, who were employees of this company for the period April 2018-July 2023, causing damage in the total value of 21,679,805 Lek.
Based on the request of the prosecution body with decision No. 3026, dated 23.12.2023, of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, it was decided to assign the security measure "Arrest in prison" provided by article 238 of K. Pr. Criminal, for the citizens S.Zh and EL, while for the citizen: RL and the citizen A.Xh, the determination of the insurance measure "Compulsion to appear in the judicial police" provided by article 234 of K. Pr. Criminal.
For the above, the investigations continue under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance, General Jurisdiction, Tirana.
