The defect in the main pipeline that supplies water to the city of Vlora has been repaired after a breakdown that left residents without water for about 5 days.
With the arrival of hydraulic equipment from Turkey, after midnight, the directorate of the coastal city's water supply completed the assembly of the main pipe. Since 04:00 in the morning, the filling of the water tanks has begun. But the Vlora Region Water Supply and Sewerage has announced that citizens should not use the water for consumption for the next 48 hours.
"The Vlora Region Water and Sewerage Authority informs citizens about the completion of the repair of the serious damage to the water supply network.
The production system has been operational since the early hours of the morning.
The 24-hour zone has started supplying water.
The rest of the city will be supplied during the afternoon hours.
The Vlora Region Water Supply and Sewerage Authority, in collaboration with the Local Health Care Unit, will follow the official protocol for water quality control and parameter measurement.
Under these conditions, we ask for your understanding that the water be used only for external use for the first 48 hours, not for consumption or cooking.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused during these days and thank you for your understanding and cooperation! ", announces the Water Company.
