Eight people have been arrested by Maliq police for the murder of 14-year-old Erald Xhejo by his peer, an incident that occurred yesterday afternoon in a bar in the village of Pirg.
A serious incident occurred yesterday at around 17:30 in the village of Pirg in Maliq, where a conflict between two 14-year-olds ended tragically. According to preliminary data, the fight took place in the premises of a bar and it is suspected that a knife was used.
Enedio Guri stabbed 14-year-old Erald Xhejo to death while posting photos of himself with a firearm on social media.
It is learned that 8 people have been arrested for the serious incident, including the father and uncle of the perpetrator, who are suspected of hiding the murder weapon.
"Maliq/As a result of rapid and professional investigations, the dynamics of the murder of the 14-year-old, committed yesterday, in the village of Pirg, are being clarified.
In this case, the Korça Police arrested 8 citizens:
-The 14-year-old suspected perpetrator of the murder, who after committing the crime, attempted to flee the scene by vehicle;
-The father and uncle of the suspected perpetrator, after they hid the cutting tool (knife) with which the crime was committed;
-4 minors, present during the conflict between the 14-year-olds, who, through statements to the Police, attempted to prevent the discovery of the truth;
-a 34-year-old, also present during the conflict, who attempted to leave the scene in the same vehicle as the 14-year-old.
The cutting tool (knife), the vehicle in which the 2 citizens attempted to flee, and 5 cell phones were seized.
Following the investigative and police actions carried out by the specialists for the Investigation of Serious Crimes of the DVP-Korça, in cooperation with the services of the Maliq Police Commissariat and under the direction of the Korça Prosecutor's Office, in relation to yesterday's event, in the village of Pirg, where a 14-year-old was killed with a cutting tool (knife), allegedly by a peer, during a conflict for weak motives, the following were arrested:
-citizen EG, 14 years old, resident of the village of Leminot, for the criminal offenses "Intentional murder" and "Irregular driving". The 14-year-old was slightly injured during the conflict. He received the necessary medical assistance and left the hospital premises yesterday;
-citizens EG, 44 years old and RG, 44 years old, respectively the father and uncle of the 14-year-old, for the criminal offense "Actions that hinder the discovery of the truth";
-4 minors, residents of the village of Zvirinë, for the criminal offenses "Failure to report a crime" and "Actions that hinder the discovery of the truth";
-citizen F. Ç., 34 years old, resident of the village of Leminot, for the criminal offense "Failure to report a crime".
"The procedural materials were referred to the Korça Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
According to photos circulating in the media, Guri, in addition to posing with firearms and cigarettes, accompanied them with threatening writings.

"But I show up when you least expect it," he writes in a photo while smoking a cigarette.
While in another photo where he holds a rifle-type firearm in his hand, he writes: "Don't look for me, I'm not coming."
The serious incident occurred on Thursday afternoon outside a bar in the village of Pirg. The two young men are suspected of having had a previous fight and had met to make amends. Instead of making amends, they ended up in a physical fight, where a cold weapon was fatally used. The perpetrator was injured, but not with a cutting tool.
He is suspected of having gone armed with a knife to the bar and after being treated at the hospital, he was arrested. The police have seized the phones of the two minors to determine the possible cause.
According to the police, the perpetrator and the victim had a previous conflict, but the reason remains unclear.
The two teenagers met to clarify, but argued among themselves and then physically confronted each other.
The victim died as a result of the stab wounds.
Off-camera, they show that the suspected perpetrator is known as a "mobile" teenager who occasionally causes problems with his peers.
