Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted to the situation the country is going through due to the fires, while also taking stock of the damage.
Rama said that the last 72 hours were extremely difficult and expressed condolences to the family in Gramsh who lost their loved one. He announced that 207 homes were damaged by the fires and 40 families have completely lost their homes.
He said that the state will compensate for the damage caused by the fires to homes and livestock that residents of the affected areas have lost.
"I am here to share with Judisa my impressions and certainly before the impressions some data regarding the last 48-72 hours which were extremely difficult due to the fires which had a greater development than any other time before this moment.
First of all, I would like to express my condolences to those who lost their loved ones and express my solidarity with those families who have actually lost their homes to the fire.
As of now, there are about 207 houses affected by the fire, but this number includes about 40 families who have actually lost their homes completely.
I want to assure everyone, whether the families that have completely lost their homes or those that have suffered damage to their homes from the fire, that we are carrying out a complete inventory of these damages according to the protocol of the situation and with the relevant authorities and there is no doubt that as has happened in the past, it will happen again. No one will be alone and no one will be left without the state by their side to return to a better and stronger home. Currently, there are over 3,600 missing persons," said Rama.
