Between the clashes and the series of murders involving the Lekstakaj and Nikulaj family in Lezhë, a legal battle in England has already been added to this conflict, where the aim is to remove the political asylum status of the Lekstakaj and Haxhia families.

The legal requests that are said to have been addressed to the Migration Office and an English court, come with the argument that the two Haxhia-Lekstakaj families, although under the protection and trust of the British state, have taken criminal actions from England to Albania, executing Ardian Nikulaj.
This has broken the criteria for approving the status of political asylum seeker, and as a result the Nikulaj family is asking the English state to revoke the status of seeker asylum seeker, expelling the two Lekstakaj-Haxhia families from the territory of Great Britain.
According to the complaint submitted by Ardian Nikulaj's relatives, the two families are the organizers, financiers and main impetus for the armed attack on April 19, 2023 against Ardian Nikulaj.
For the murder of the businessman, the police and the prosecutor's office of Lezha have identified and arrested several people with English and Moroccan citizenship, among the perpetrators being the Albanian Edmond Haxhia.
Haxhia turns out to be the grandson of Elton and Klodian Lekstakaj, the two brothers sworn opponents of the Nikulaj family in Lezhë. After Ardian's murder, Nikolin Lekstakaj was executed in another attempt on July 19, 2023.
Meanwhile, the series of murders continued on December 2, 2023, where Etjan Nikulaj, the son of Ardian Nikulaj's uncle, was killed during a gun attack. For both of these murders, the police have not arrested anyone.
