Security expert, Fatjon Softa, has analyzed the murder of the "Eagles" operative Novruz Cenalia, as well as the surrender of the suspected perpetrator Azgan Mërnica to the police.
Softa said that this event has shocked not only family members, relatives and colleagues, but also the entire state structure and public opinion.
"The incident in Fieri has shocked not only the family, friends and police officers, but the entire public opinion ," said Softa to RTSH24.
The expert also added that it should be further investigated whether the killing of the officer was due to a conflict of the moment, or thought before.
"Nothing can be accidental. We cannot minimize the matter and say that it was just an ordinary crime that he got in his way, or looked at me angrily. We may have previous accounts who switch to revenge. It is an event that must be investigated and we have a more complete overview of this event and have an official version", said Softa.
Expert Softa has raised the concern that police officers who fight crime do not have life insurance.
"We all feel killed that he is on the front line and those who have to deal with order and security while protecting the lives of citizens become the object of crime and lose their lives. Police officers must also have life insurance. All these people who face crime do not have any life insurance", continues the expert.
Analyzing the profile of the author of the event, 23-year-old Azgan Mërnica, Softa adds that these people who live in an extremely violent and crime-ridden environment , should be under observation, not only by the police, but also by the
society threatened by revenge or that he could encounter the elite police forces, who in principle prioritize the person's life, but it may happen that during the exchange of fire there may be loss of life. The fact that he has declared that he has no regrets shows that he hates the police uniform. A person who has a very serious criminal situation himself and within his family. At a young age, he kills a police officer . The investigation may lead to another situation that may aggravate his situation. Such persons should be kept under control because of their criminal past" , emphasized the expert.
Also, expert Softa appealed for the police to be depoliticized.
"We need to work hard as a society, we need to work hard as a state to raise this authority of police officers. We need to build a strategy by not politicizing the police structure, in a real way, not just fictitious, to increase the authority of the State Police", said Softa.
