The Institute of Forensic Medicine has completed the medical-legal expertise on the loss of life of 42-year-old Egli Proga, who was raped to death on August 10 in a bar in Pogradec.
The expert report describes the injuries found on the victim's body, on the forehead, nose, ear, cheek, and left shoulder, which were caused by a sharp tool, such as a punch.
According to the expert report, the cause of death of the 42-year-old is hemorrhage in the brain membrane and hemorrhage of brain tissue.
"In the victim's blood sample, the presence of ethyl alcohol was detected at an average value of 2.82 g/L", the expert report states.
Meanwhile, the forensic report has been sent to the Korca Prosecutor's Office, which is continuing the investigation into the murder of Egli Proga.
Egli Proga was allegedly raped by 29-year-old Denis Meçe. The latter is arrested, while investigations into the incident are still ongoing as there are suspicions that the incident was tried to be hidden from the authorities. Together with the author, three other people were put in handcuffs, Voltan Shulkun, Leonidha Guçen, Arian Manellarin.
They are accused of the criminal offenses of "Criminal Impeachment" and "Actions that prevent the discovery of the truth". They were present when the event happened and did not report the crime, preventing the truth from being revealed.
The forensic report has been sent to the Korca Prosecutor's Office, which is continuing the investigation into the murder of Egli Proga.
