Shkodra protested today for the murder of Liridona Ademaj. The macabre crime shocked the entire public opinion, an event staged by her husband Naim Murseli.
"NeLiriDona" is the message chosen by girls and women from Shkodra in the sensitizing march for the serious event in Pristina.
"This is a case where not only the woman is being violated, but the Albanian family is being violated. The truth is that we have to teach girls to have the right to speak, the right to choose and to be equal. As a mother, I have a very big responsibility on my shoulders, to raise a son, who I have to teach to love girls", said a protester.
After the march, candles were lit at the Mother Teresa monument.
Another march took place in Fier, where among them were state police officers to raise awareness against violence against women.
"What we need to do, our whole society is prevention. If we are going to invest to prevent violence, we will do the best thing to reduce this phenomenon" , said the activist Enkeleda Allkanjari.
