A big fire has broken out in the used goods market in Shkodër.
A huge fire broke out today in the Qafëhardhi neighborhood in the city of Shkodra near the market.
The flames have spread rapidly, while plumes of smoke have invaded the area.
The residents of the area were the first to help each other to evacuate.
It is learned that the flames have engulfed the market area, and unfortunately, favored by the wind, they have also burned a house and are approaching the second house.
The fire, as can be seen from the images provided, appears to be of large size, while no injuries have been reported.
Numerous firefighting forces have gone to the scene. So, dozens of police officers are trying to put out the flames.
"Around 18:55, in the "Ndoc Mazi" neighborhood, a fire broke out in a market with used clothes. Firefighters together with the police immediately went to the scene.
Police services are evacuating residents from homes that are at risk of fire.
Firefighters are working intensively to extinguish the fire. The investigative group under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office is working to find out the cause of the fire ," the police announced.
