Lawyer Edmond Petraj, invited to 'News Line', commented on the trial for Berisha's Partizani file, where the GJKKO will meet today in the next session.
According to the lawyer, the resolution of such a process is 30-45 days and that dragging out the issue is a weak political strategy. Further, Petraj stated that a decision is expected to be made today on the Partizani file, which has been 'in the hands of justice' for some time.
"The process depends on the importance of the method and the value of the file. The judge assesses the shortcomings of the investigation and the fate of the file. We do not have any kind of situation where I can say that the case is being postponed. The resolution of such a process is 30-45 days, it takes so long because there are numerous requests from the defense, changes in the judging panel and political strategies of delaying the defense.
There are several elements that are connected and delay the process. The political strategy of dragging out the process is where the cases have a load and are used for media consumption in order to serve political purposes. The judge of the preliminary hearing, after having appointed the lawyer, today I think a decision should be made. A procedural error sets back the file and the process", said the lawyer.
