During the period January - August 2024, the Supreme State Audit has identified violations of financial discipline with a negative impact on the performance of the administration of income, expenses and the use of public funds in the total value of 6,252,137 thousand ALL, of which:
3,265,587 thousand ALL in the area of income (or about 53% of the total) mainly in local government income for issues related to obligations for local taxes and fees, non-charging/incorrect calculation/non-application of late interest for the use of municipal properties from private entities; unpaid obligations for entities that exercise activity in the field of retail fuel trading, etc.; AND
2,986,549 thousand ALL in the field of expenses (or about 48% of the total), as a result of violations of budget discipline related to the liquidation of expenses, mismanagement of programmed funds or lack of control in the implementation of procurement procedures not in accordance with the legal framework .
