In all the denunciations that Foltorja has made against the construction, tourism and educational business company, disguised as the "Albanian-American Foundation" headed by the builder Aleksandër Sarapuli; did not mention the fact that the project director is Ledja Mete, the wife of the Minister of Finance, Ervin Mete.
She started working at this foundation in March 2019, as director of project ideas and their management, while 1 year ago, she replaced Endrit Yzeirajn, director of financial project management, who was appointed and continues to be the Deputy Minister of Finance for projects and concession contracts, among them PPP-Butrinti.
While Ervin Mete is the Minister of Finance, representative of Erjon Veliaj's clan in the "Rilindja" government; as the chairman of the "Mjaft" group, which in December 2013 catapulted him to the position of Deputy Minister of Finance, member of the Municipal Council of Tirana, Chairman of the Financial Supervision Authority and candidate for deputy from the "G-99" party.
Compared to other deputy ministers, the fact is impressive that during his time as deputy minister before being appointed Minister of Finance, Ervin Mete privately spent large amounts of money, such as allegedly savings from salaries and through parallel bank loans that has received
According to the declaration in the assets form, it turns out that the Minister of Finance, Ervin Mete, at the time he had a monthly salary of 1,200 Euro, took 5 bank loans as if he had a business, without giving any reason for what needs he took them, but he did and their systematic repayment follows.
He even declared large annual savings from salaries, ordered a villa in Lalz and bought 20 million ALL in treasury bonds; the values of which exceed more than 2 times the value of the wages he received, as if he had not spent a single penny for the life he leads.
The Minister of Finance, Ervin Mete, received the five bank loans in the years 2019-2022, specifically in the following amounts: 107,448 Euros; 40 thousand Euros; 65 thousand and 612 thousand Euros; 36 thousand and 862 Euros and 30 thousand Euros, which in total are 280 thousand Euros.
The duties that Ervin Mete has exercised from December 2013 until today are as follows: Deputy Minister of Finance and Chief of the Minister's Cabinet; member and Head of the Financial Supervision Authority, while for 4 months he is the Minister of Economy-Finance.
Regarding this fact, there are two indications:
1. He is cleaning the money obtained when he was the Deputy Minister of Finance and director of the minister's cabinet; that, according to the SPAK file, he signed the PPPs of the landfills and appeared in interceptions as a shopkeeper with Klodian Zoto and Mirel Mërtir.
2. Or, he is cleaning the millions of father Bilbil Mete, former prosecutor of Tirana, who only dealt with the corrupt files of ministers, directors and thieving officials, as well as murderers and traffickers, until December 2020, when he resigned 1 month before vetting.
