An unacceptable approach in Albanian politics to promote corrupt elements!
The Freedom Party, which has proclaimed itself as an alternative for change and renewal of Albanian politics, is going through a dark period, melting away and losing any kind of political meaning and value. It is promoting dubious names and individuals who have never contributed to strengthening what was called a movement for the freedom and dignity of Albanian citizens.
One of the names being rumored to be included in the safe lists for the 2025 elections is Edmond Haxhinasto, a politician who has a dark past and is closely linked to numerous corruption scandals that have not yet been properly investigated by justice.
Edmond Haxhinasto is a name that only surfaced when the election date approached, and after that period he disappeared, leaving behind a lukewarm trace and without any visible impact on the political and social life of the country.
Haxhinasto, who held the post of Minister of Transport, was part of a dark period for Albania, where abuses of public funds, dubious tenders, and links to various corrupt groups were common.
During his tenure as Minister of Transport, Haxhinasto was involved in a series of dubious affairs related to public procurement, tenders and engagements that favored certain individuals and groups, causing great financial and social harm to Albanian citizens. These scandals have raised strong suspicions about the possibility of external influences and manipulation of financial schemes for personal gain and that of his relatives.
However, the investigations into him and these affairs have remained unclear and unfinished, due to political pressures and influences that have existed in the judiciary, allowing him and others like him to exploit the system for personal interests.
Meanwhile, the Freedom Party, which once promised to cleanse politics of corruption and abuse, has now fallen into the hands of individuals who, despite their dark history, continue to gain important positions.
Haxhinasto is a clear example of this phenomenon, as he has attempted to return to politics only at times when he needs to hold important positions, using party mechanisms to renew his image and escape the scandals that have accompanied him throughout his career.
What is unclear and worrying is that the Freedom Party is continuing to support such individuals, placing them in important positions and giving them opportunities to benefit in the upcoming elections, regardless of their involvement in corrupt acts and damaging citizens' trust in the political system and justice.
This is a great harm to society, as it helps maintain a dirty and corrupt system that tries to keep in power those who have only contributed to their own wealth and that of the groups that support them.
At this moment, it is time for Albanian citizens to open their eyes and not allow corrupt politicians to return to the political scene. It is time to demand accountability and demand a clean and honest politics, without individuals who have violated the law and ethics.
For this reason, all those who support this movement, as well as those who are part of the Freedom Party, must understand that supporting politicians like Edmond Haxhinasto means supporting a system that continues to encourage corruption and harm the future of the country.
Albania needs a clean politics, which its citizens deserve, and for this, we must let go of the dark past and create a future where justice, transparency and accountability are the main principles of every policy./ Pamphlet
