Around a hundred protesters, who were taking part in a pro-Palestine demonstration in Turin, forced their way into the offices of the newspaper La Stampa.
Protesters, many with their faces covered, wrote slogans on walls and threw newspapers and books to the ground.
They also left manure outside the main entrance. Italian journalists are on strike today and in all media outlets, the offices were almost empty.
La Stampa journalists and the Italian Editors' Association condemned this violent incident, emphasizing, among other things, that it is an attack on press freedom, while wondering, at the same time, why the police did not protect the newspaper.
"We are not afraid, we are journalists and we will continue to do our job without allowing them to intimidate us," La Stampa journalists stressed.
