A pregnant woman who was pulled from the rubble by rescue teams after spending about 50 hours under a collapsed building in Mandalay, two days after an earthquake in Myanmar, has died, AFP journalists reported.
Rescuers thought they had saved the life of 35-year-old Mathu Tu Lay, but they eventually declared her dead shortly after pulling her from the rubble of the 12-story Sky Villa apartment complex. The residential complex was destroyed by the 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar on Friday.
