The US struck a structure on a mountain ridge in Isfahan, which likely held enriched uranium reserves and structures related to the nuclear program, a source familiar with the details of the US operation told The Jerusalem Post.
The sources added that the Natanz nuclear power plant has been destroyed, while the Fordow and Isfahan nuclear plants suffered "major damage," but it is not yet known how much.
Earlier on Sunday, satellite images from Iran's Fordow nuclear facility showed possible bomb entry points and the possible sinking of the country following overnight US strikes on the Iranian nuclear facility.
US President Donald Trump said that Iran's three main nuclear enrichment plants, namely Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan, have been "totally destroyed" in a speech from the White House on Saturday evening.
"Our objective was to destroy Iran's nuclear enrichment capacity and stop the nuclear threat posed by the world's number one state sponsor of terrorism," he said, adding that the strikes were a "spectacular military success."
"We have completed our very successful attack on three nuclear facilities in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz and Esfahan. Congratulations to our great American warriors. There is no other military in the world that could have done this," Trump added.
Before the US attack, estimates were that an attack on Fordow, after Israel had already largely destroyed Natanz and Isfahan, would delay the nuclear program by at least six months, with many going as far as two years, and some thought the delay in the Islamic Republic's nuclear threat could be even longer.
Israeli and American intelligence assessments for The Jerusalem Post newspaper had been that only the American MOAB bomb, specifically its Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) variant, could completely destroy Fordow.
It was reported that US officials "reached out to Iran diplomatically on Saturday" to say that the attacks were all that the United States had planned and that it did not intend a wider war.
Initial assessments are that Fordow is not only partially damaged or collapsed, but completely destroyed.
Some Israeli officials told the Post that they believe Fordow was destroyed, while others said they should be cautious about commenting until confirmation is provided.
