South Africa has submitted an application to the International Court of Justice accusing Israel of genocide in Gaza.
The International Court of Justice is the United Nations court for resolving conflicts between states. She cited violations of the Genocide Convention in connection with Israeli attacks on Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, the court said in a statement.
The court request is the latest in a series of moves by South Africa against Israel - which included voting to close the Israeli embassy in Pretoria and suspend all diplomatic relations until a ceasefire is reached in Gaza.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, Israel has responded by calling South Africa's claims as "baseless and slanderous. Israel also accused South Africa of collaborating with the terrorist group (Hamas).
