Israel's ambassador to Britain accuses Hamas of abusing aid in Gaza to create a war machine

Israel's ambassador to Great Britain, Tzipi Hotovely, has warned that the operation against Hamas will be complicated.

In an interview with Sky News, she said that Hamas used all the humanitarian aid that went to Gaza in recent years to build this underground tunnel city.

"Each tunnel cost $3m (£2.5m) - in total, Israel exposed over 30 tunnels, $100m (£82m) of humanitarian aid could have been supplied to the people of Gaza but was not used to build these tunnels" she said.

According to Hotovely, financial support from the international community was used and abused.
