The Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Dimitar Kovacevski, said that the message of the USA after NATO membership is clear, that Macedonia should become a member of the EU, because the EU is our only alternative.
According to him, if Macedonia is separated from Albania, Serbia, Montenegro, no one will guarantee when and in what way we will become members of the EU.
"Any other result in voting on constitutional changes will mean an uncertain future for the country. Today, if we separate from Albania, Serbia, Montenegro, no one guarantees us when and in what way we will become members of the EU. The future of citizens cannot be held hostage, especially after the Macedonian language and identity have been protected. With the constitutional changes, other parts of the nations are introduced and a clear distinction is made between the Macedonian nation and any nation, including the Bulgarian one. The situation at the moment is clear and clean, I have serious support for voting on constitutional changes. Blocking this process will be harmful and this can be proved by every conversation with foreign diplomats", said Prime Minister Kovacevski.
