Former US President Joe Biden recently underwent surgery to remove a cancerous lump of skin.
According to foreign media, the surgery was performed using the Mohs method, a technique that removes infected tissue until the cancer cells are completely eliminated.
This is not the first time Biden has battled cancer. Two years ago, he had a basal cell carcinoma removed from his chest, and in March of this year he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer. Officials said the cancer is hormone-sensitive, which allows for effective management of the disease.
The 82-year-old has experienced major cancer-related losses and challenges in his family: his son Beau died of a brain tumor, while his wife Jill had two cancerous lesions removed.
