British Foreign Secretary David Cameron stated that US President Joe Biden is rightly pressuring Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for a ceasefire to allow more humanitarian aid.
In an interview with CNN on Wednesday, Cameron said he agrees with Biden that a temporary truce is needed.
" He is rightly pushing Netanyahu, as there are many times when we need a pause in the fighting to get help and get the hostages out. This has long been Britain's position ," he said.
The statement comes after Biden offered one of his harshest rebuke of Israel's handling of the war in Gaza during an interview on Tuesday, describing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's approach to the conflict as a "mistake" and calling for the ban of fighting.
