"Israel's wrong approach"/ Biden and Netanyahu continue the

An official in the Israeli prime minister's office has stated that there are clear differences between Joe Biden and Benjamin Netanyahu over Israel's plans to launch an offensive in Rafah.

They told NBC News that the leaders, who spoke by phone, bonded over the need to repel the Iranian threat.

The comments came after Biden said Benjamin Netanyahu's approach to the war was a "mistake."

"The president's statement was apparently made days ago, before the phone call with the prime minister. "During the conversation, it was clear that the differences in Rafah have not been resolved, but the leaders are committed to the need to strengthen humanitarian aid and repel the Iranian threat ," the official said.

We recall that Biden's call to stop the attack on Rafah comes at a time when the Hamas-run Gaza health ministry has stated that 33,482 Palestinians have been killed since October 7, while another 76,049 people have been injured.

The ministry's figures do not distinguish between civilians and combatants, but it says most of those killed were women and children.
