The alignment of Elon Musk next to Giorgia Meloni has ignited debates in Italy. He made a strong statement yesterday, attacking the judges who overturned the refugee pact. According to "Corriere Della Sera", the reference has to do with the words of Elon Musk and his attitude towards Italian judges, on the issue of the repatriation of immigrants from Albania.
But the billionaire has continued with the statements even today: " Do the Italian people live in a democracy or is it an unelected autocracy that takes the decisions? ".
Yesterday, the Italian opposition also reacted strongly, asking Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to condemn Musk's statements and defend the independence of the judiciary and the Italian Constitution.
" It is shameful that the self-proclaimed sovereigntists of our country let an American billionaire like Musk dictate their line ," said Democratic Party Secretary Elly Schlein.
