Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk, seeking historical background for his planned war against fellow tech billionaire and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, has turned to Italy's far-right leader, Giorgia Meloni for a location.
Musk wrote on his platform that he had spoken with Prime Minister Meloni and the Italian Minister of Culture, Gennaro Sangiuliano.
"They have agreed on an epic location ," he wrote without elaborating. He said that everything in the photo frame will include ancient Rome, nothing modern.
Those speculating that two of the world's richest men will battle it out like ancient warriors at the Colosseum in Rome should think again.
" It will not take place in Rome" , said Sanguiliano, adding that he had a long and friendly conversation with Musk.
"We are thinking about how to organize a great charity and historical event while fully respecting and protecting the sites ," he said.
Musk wrote on his platform that the fight will be managed by him and Zuck," referring to Facebook's Zuckerberg.
Meloni's office did not initially comment. There seems to be a difference as to where the money raised from such an event would go.
The Italian Minister of Culture said that there were plans "to donate a large amount, millions of euros, to two important Italian children's hospitals. Musk said all proceeds would go to veterans.
