US President Donald Trump has announced that he has completed another medical check-up at Walter Reed Military Medical Center, noting that he also took a cognitive test and that the results were excellent.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote that he undergoes checkups every six months and that this is the third cognitive test he has taken, which he said he passed with complete success.
"I'm the only president to have done this three times and I've always passed them perfectly," he declared, adding that many people in Washington would not be able to achieve such results.
Trump devoted most of his response to attacks on two New York Times journalists, Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan, publicly challenging them on a cognitive test and criticizing their book.
The US president's statements come at a time when discussions about his health continue to be present in the public debate. Trump, 80, has undergone regular medical check-ups, while the full results of presidential examinations are usually released only after they are approved by the White House.
Meanwhile, criticism and doubts about his physical and cognitive abilities have continued from political opponents and public figures, who have raised questions about his health during his presidential term.
