Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has denounced that, in the last week, Russia has launched over 1,460 aerial bombs, about 670 attack drones and more than 30 missiles of various types against Ukraine.
Last night alone, according to him, more than 20 attacks hit the country.
"International pressure on Russia is still insufficient, and this is demonstrated by the daily bombings on our territory," Zelensky wrote in a Facebook post.
According to Zelensky, the growing number of airstrikes reveals the Kremlin's real intentions: to continue the terror campaign for as long as the world allows.
"Every attack is against our people, our children. They are waging war even on children playing in parks. I express my condolences to the families of the victims and thank those who are helping to save lives," Zelensky said.
The president added that these attacks represent Vladimir Putin's response to international diplomatic efforts.
"Russia does not want to stop. Each of our partners, from the United States to Europe, has clearly seen this. For this reason, the pressure must continue: this is the only way to guarantee security and bring peace closer," he concluded.
