The Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), John Ratcliffe, stated that a "credible body of intelligence" indicates that Iran's nuclear program has been "severely damaged" as a result of the recent air strikes.
In a statement published on the X platform, Ratcliffe said that "the agency has received new information from a historically accurate and reliable source and method, which confirms that some of Iran's key nuclear facilities have been completely destroyed and will take years to rebuild."
Recall that a US intelligence report was released yesterday, which suggested that US airstrikes did not destroy key components of Iran's nuclear program, but only delayed it by a few months.
Donald Trump rejected the report today, highlighting the claim that the US has "disappeared" and set the program "decades back".
