US President Donald Trump has reacted to India's attacks on Pakistan, calling the rising tensions between them a 'shame'.
Trump said that even though he knew the war would break out one day based on the past, he still hopes it will end very soon.
"It's unfortunate, we just heard about this as we walked through the doors of the Oval Office. I think people knew something was going to happen based on a little bit of the past. They've been fighting for a long time... I just hope it ends very soon," Trump told reporters.
The president's comments came during the swearing-in ceremony of Steve Witkoff, the US special envoy to the Middle East.
