Israel announced today that it will use its entire military arsenal, which includes thousands of tanks, fighter jets and 173,000 troops, to wipe out Hamas, a week after the terrorists mercilessly attacked the country, killing more than 1,300 civilians.
Since Saturday, Israeli forces have used their air force of 600 aircraft and artillery with 300 rocket launchers to relentlessly pound the Gaza Strip, destroying thousands of targets belonging to Hamas and killing 1,530 Palestinians.
But the order to evacuate 1.1 million Palestinians from north to south Gaza within 24 hours shows that the relentless onslaught that has so far seen the detonation of 4,000 tonnes of explosives will not stop there.
In the coming hours, it is expected that Israel's 173,000 soldiers, supported by 300,000 reservists who have been assembled from all over the country, will fight for the opportunity to exterminate Hamas once and for all, as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has requested.
This large force, along with 300 military tanks, including self-propelled howitzers, are already on the border of the Gaza Strip.
The military power of Israel is much greater than that of the terrorists of Hamas, and this is shown by the fact that since Saturday, over 6,000 rockets have been launched from Israel towards Gaza, while Hamas possesses only 10,000 rockets that have been built in secret.
Israel is also withdrawing its special forces from the elite Sayeret Matkal unit to fight against Hamas. It is believed that they will aim to eliminate in particular high-ranking Hamas fighters and also rescue hundreds of Israelis who have been taken hostage.
The Israel Defense Forces have said they want to completely overthrow the power of Hamas, which aims to rule in Palestine.
So far, Israeli airstrikes have leveled most of the town of Beit Hanoun in the northeastern corner of the Palestinian enclave, which Hamas terrorists had used as a staging ground for their attacks, and killed 1,530 Palestinians.
