
The FBI has found no connection between the attack in New Orleans and the one near Donald Trump's hotel in Las Vegas. In a statement, the FBI said they are still in the very early stages of the investigation.
“As you know, Las Vegas is also being investigated. We are following all possible leads and we are not ruling anything out...,” said the deputy assistant director of the counter-terrorism division at the FBI, Christopher Raia, among others.
It was previously reported that the two men had served at the same military base, a fact that has prompted further investigations into a "possible military connection" between them.

Meanwhile, new details about Jabbar's past point to a long career in the US armed forces. He had served from March 2007 to January 2015 as a Human Resources Specialist and then as an Information Technology Specialist, including a mission in Afghanistan.
Jabbar had been serving as a tech reservist since July 2020, reaching the rank of sergeant.
