The Louvre Museum robbery, where four thieves stole incredible treasures using an aerial ladder mounted on a truck, has taken an unexpectedly humorous turn. German transport equipment manufacturer Böcker has revealed that the gang's ruse was their own Agilo model, which is used for furniture.

According to footage released by French authorities at the scene, the thieves had used the Agilo ladder to scale the walls and sneak into the iconic Parisian museum. The discovery immediately surprised the management of Böcker, based in the small town of Werne near Dortmund, who have used the opportunity for marketing.

Through a post on their social networks, accompanied by a photo of the whip used by the robbers, the company accompanies it with the new ironic slogan: "When you have to act fast."

In their social media posts, Böcker writes that Agilo can carry up to 400 kg of "treasures" at a speed of 42 meters per minute and is as quiet as "a whisper", ideal for "discreet" operations, as they say with a dose of black humor.

These posts, accompanied by images from the crime scene, are now being shared on Instagram, where they have reached over 1.7 million views in a few hours.

The incident began as a family joke. Julia Scharwatz, the company's chief marketing officer, and her husband, CEO Alexander Böcker, were reading the news together online on Sunday evening when they saw a photo of their elevator in the middle of the Louvre's mess.

"After it became clear that no one was hurt, we started making some jokes and thinking up slogans that we found funny. You couldn't believe how our simple furniture product had made global headlines for a billion-dollar heist ," Scharwatz said in an interview with German media.

According to her, staff, partners and clients immediately began contacting them, suggesting they should do something creative with this "viral moment."

On Monday morning, the campaign was ready: meme posts, short videos and special offers for Agilo, who they now call the "treasure hauler."

" It's absolute madness. 99% of the reactions are positive. I can understand that it's not everyone's mood, especially for the French authorities, but most people are enjoying it like an absurd story from a movie ," added Scharwatz, noting that this has increased sales of the device by 30% in just 24 hours.
