Scene from the attack

The escalation of tensions in the Middle East has brought a coordinated response from several Arab countries, which, after a meeting in Riyadh, have issued a joint statement against Iran's actions.

The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon and other countries in the region expressed concern about the situation, describing it as a threat to regional stability.

In their statement, these countries claim that the Iranian attacks targeted civilian areas and diplomatic facilities, describing them as deliberate actions and in violation of international law. According to the statement, such acts cannot be justified under any circumstances.

In addition to condemnation, Arab countries emphasize that they reserve the right to self-defense, referring to Article 51 of the UN Charter, a clear signal of the possibility of reactions if the situation deteriorates further.

Another key element of the statement is concern for the security of the Strait of Hormuz. The participating countries call on Iran to avoid any actions that could jeopardize this strategic corridor, which is vital for global energy trade.

At the same time, the statement did not leave Israel out of the spotlight, condemning military operations in Lebanon and what is described as expansionist policy in the region.

"We call on Iran to immediately stop the attacks and respect international law and the principles of good neighborliness, refraining from measures or threats aimed at closing the Strait of Hormuz. We also condemn Israel's "aggression" against Lebanon and "expansionist policy in the region," the statement said.
