US attack on Iran, former CIA official reveals date

Tensions are simmering between Washington and Tehran. A US strike on Iran is possible. Now, a former CIA employee has set a new date…

US President Donald Trump has given Iran until early March to make concessions in the nuclear dispute. While the White House appears publicly willing to negotiate, a military buildup is growing in the region, suggesting more than a symbolic show of force. According to Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, the president is surprised that Tehran has not "capitulated" despite the growing threats and a growing US presence. The White House is thus keeping up the pressure without formally breaking off the diplomatic process.

The US has recently significantly expanded its military presence in the Gulf region. US President Trump has stated that he is considering a "limited military strike" against Iran if no agreement is reached in the nuclear dispute between Tehran and Washington. However, it is currently unclear when, or even if, the US will attack Iran. According to information from former CIA officer John Kiriakou, a military strike could be imminent. In Julian Dorey's podcast, he cites inside information and specifies the timing.

Kiriakou said he had a friend who had spoken to friends in the White House. “He says the decision has been made to attack Iran on Monday or Tuesday.” His statement contradicts the publicly communicated 10-day deadline that President Donald Trump had given the Iranian regime. It cannot be verified whether this account is accurate. However, US officials also confirmed to Reuters that military planning has reached an advanced stage.

Kiriakou is considered a prominent whistleblower and a fierce critic of the security apparatus. His statements are politically charged and therefore should be interpreted with caution. He suggests that Trump's public deadline may be less a signal for negotiations than a strategic ploy: while the focus is on diplomacy, operational preparations are underway behind the scenes.

In fact, the US has massively expanded its military presence in the region. Two aircraft carriers, including the USS Gerald R. Ford, numerous fighter jets, nuclear submarines and destroyers are within range of Iran. According to reports from Axios, Trump is considering not just a limited attack, but a campaign lasting several weeks, possibly in cooperation with Israel. This is much more than the surgical strike that has been repeatedly discussed recently.
