The US mission in Saudi Arabia has issued a security alert, advising American citizens in the kingdom to stay away from military sites in the region.
Americans and mission staff should "exercise increased caution and limit non-essential travel to any military installation" due to "ongoing regional tensions," the statement said.
Previously, we reported that the US was withdrawing staff from a key base as a precaution, after Tehran said it would target American bases if America intervened in the country.
Qatar's International Media Office confirmed about two hours ago that certain personnel had been withdrawn from the US-run Al Udeid Air Base. Meanwhile, according to Reuters, the US will attack Iran within 24 hours.
