Eight Indian oil tankers have passed through the Strait of Hormuz with Iran's permission, Bloomberg reported, highlighting a significant development amid tensions in the region.

According to the report, the passage of these ships is part of India's broader efforts to negotiate with the Iranian government, aimed at alleviating the energy crisis caused by the closure of the strait.

Data from the marine traffic tracking platform Marine Traffic shows that one of the last ships to pass is the tanker "Sarv Shakti", loaded with liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

India, the world's third-largest oil importer, is facing supply difficulties as global oil prices have risen sharply due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and political tensions in the Middle East.

This development signals an effort to keep vital energy supply lines open, at a time when international markets remain volatile.
