Israel's brutal war in Gaza has provoked many reactions from the international factor, but also from the population inside Israel.
According to a US intelligence assessment, the Israelis have lost confidence in his leadership skills. The secret services predict large protests in the coming weeks, with the sole aim of removing Benjamin Netanyahu from power and replacing him with a moderate government.
"Distrust in Netanyahu's ability to govern has grown among the public, and we expect large protests calling for his resignation and new elections," the report said.
"A different, more moderate government is a possibility."
Netanyahu has faced fierce criticism for his government's failure to predict or prevent the October 7 attack, when the Hamas terror group killed 1,200 Israelis and took 240 hostages.
Polls have also shown that many Israelis question whether Netanyahu's sweeping military offensive in response to its fifth month, which has flattened Gaza and killed tens of thousands of people, is the best way to free the hostages.
The US intelligence report also warns that Israel will struggle to defeat Hamas militarily.
