The Iranian regime has warned citizens to stop using WhatsApp, Telegram and other apps that can reveal their location. Iran raises the alarm, saying this is one of Israel's "main methods to identify and target individuals."
"Following recent targeted killings by Israel including the assassination of scientists, reports indicate that the Israeli regime is using cell phone tracking to locate people in Iran ," IRIB said.
The report also says that using these apps is "dangerous in these circumstances."
Iran advised people to turn off their mobile phones before changing locations.
"People should refrain from taking their mobile phones to sensitive places ," IRIB added.
Iran advised the public, especially employees of organizations, to use secure telecommunications lines and avoid using insecure software.
