Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the Israeli military is ready for defensive and offensive action. He adds that he is hitting the enemies and is determined to defend himself.
"We are prepared both in defense and attack. We are striking our enemies and we are determined to defend ourselves," Netanyahu said in a meeting with army recruits.
"We are moving forward towards victory. I know that the citizens of Israel are worried and I ask you one thing: be patient" , added the Israeli Prime Minister.
Tensions in the Middle East have escalated in recent days following the assassination in Tehran of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political bureau of the Palestinian movement Hamas, and the assassination in Beirut of Hezbollah's military chief, Fuad Shokr.
Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah blamed Israel for the incidents and said they would not let them go unanswered.
